Well, I'd go ahead and buy a new one... money really isn't a big hinderance... it's just, I hate buying something only to have something better release right after. The ATOM systems seem to have much better battery life, so it looks like a great option for slate tablets...

It's too bad that three companies have the market cornered off, and no one else is jumping into the fray. HP released a slate (TC1100) some years ago and it's still a hit! I have no idea what's stopping them from releasing one again.

I think I'm done with Fujitsu. The Stylistic tablets look pretty good, but they're overpriced. I was looking at the new Core 2 Duo Fujitsu T4220s against the hp tx2500 series... no comparison! The hp comes with 3GB RAM standard, a better HDD and at $1000 less! I just hope that I can get store-credit (or something) for the difference. If I can't exchange for the hp... maybe I can sell it and buy it anyway.

I think my next machines will be the Amazon Kindle and Eee PC 1000. I'm glad that the M1400 is working out for you. Motion makes good stuff; I had my heart set on the LE1700wt (touch and penabled), after I learned that there were some issues with it, I decided to hold-off.

I may still get the LE1700 for the SXGA screen—then again, the Axiotron ModBook is Mac (my preferred OS) and has more levels of pressure sensitivity. Either feature would help; the primary function of my Tablet PC is art and design (aided largely by Sketchbook Pro), inkblogging is a secondary perk.

I used to use OneNote a lot, but due to the lack of "real" portability (convertible weighs too much and battery doesn't last long-enough), I've replaced OneNote with Moleskine notebooks and BackpackIT.

(I wish I knew how to change "Read the rest of this entry" to "Text Version")

I use my Moleskines to "get it off of my chest" and to "clear my head," I don't use my blogs for that. For me, the process of real ink on paper (fountain pen and longhand) adds something...

The smaller things of course end up at Twitter and Plurk (I love Plurk), and I also post at bradtastic.tumblr.com whenever I find a cool image or a new website I want to share.

I will continue to ink... I would really like to figure out how to restyle this site, though. I'd like to create a nifty graffiti "wildstyle" design for the header and have more widget control. When I tried installing K2, the images displayed funny.

I get that, "maybe its not good enough to post" bug from time to time. I have to remind myself that I'm writing to get it off MY chest, to clear MY head, and to see things a bit clearer from without.

Seriously though, a lot of things come up that are not "big" enough to blog, but that's where twitter comes in...I certainly love twittering for that "instant" feeling...

And ohh, please...do continue inking... I still like your handwriting...esp now that I can read it much more easily than before. ;)

I feel your pain. My X61t has been at Lenovo's repair center since last Thursday. I bought a Motion M1400 to replace it, and to use in school because I realized that I don't need to have a keyboard at all times when using my tablet. Perhaps you should get an older Fujitsu or Motion slate, or wait till the next iteration of slates come out, and then buy the previously "new" version.

Hey, sorry about taking forever to get to you... I didn't see your comment (I missed a couple, and I'm not sure why).

I use Live Writer with Ed Holloway's Inkblog plugin.
You can go here: edholloway.com

Let me know if you're still trying to figure it out... and if you have an inkblog, drop a link!

Why thank you, darlin'... such kind words about such mediocre looking writing of mine. Perhaps I'll write something more personal for you... sometime.

Gosh, for some reason I didn't see this.

I'm not sure that Apple will ever produce a tablet... I really hope they prove me wrong. I want one, and their multi-touch technology would be great. For now, I'm hoping for a MacBook Air with ATOM and a Motion Computing (or some other slate) Tablet with ATOM.

I'd like a slate tablet with 5-7 hour battery life.

Actually, for now... I wish the iPhone would be more stable.
